Dear Residents of Prince George's and  Calvert Counties,

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Thank you for your time, energy and financial contribution to my campaign for State Delegate in 2006.  Your support was overwhelming and although we came up short by only 8% of the vote, I am very proud of the accomplishments the campaign made during the 2006 election cycle.  We will certainly carry the momentum and experience gained into the next bid for public office.  Yes, there will be another bid for public office in 2010.  We are currently considering which office to seek and I have a team of advisors that is strategically planning the campaign.

In the meantime, I am remaining civically active by continuing to serve as president of the Windbrook Area Citizens Association and politically active by serving as president of the Surratts-Clinton Democratic Club.  I am monitoring the legislative action of the County Council and the General Assembly to ensure that the laws proposed enhance and improve our quality of life.  I will be advising a number of community groups, churches and other social organizations on important community issues.  Indeed, I have already begun my advocacy on a number of issues before both the Prince George’s County Council and Prince George's Delegation of the Maryland House of Delegates.  For example, I recently testified that the Verizon Communications should be required to pay the County a bond for the repaving of county roads as a part of its cable franchise agreement.  I also testified both in support and in opposition to a number of local bills that the Prince George's County House Delegation plans to introduce in the 2007 legislative session.  You can a find a summary of these bills and my advocacy position under the Annapolis Watch page.

My 2006 campaign slogan was Educate, Equip and Empower.  I will keep you educated, equipped and empowered to hold government and its elected officials accountable to us, the citizens and taxpayers.  I encourage you to visit this site frequently for the latest updates and hope that you find the information on this site educating and informative.

Always learning and keeping you educated and informed,

Tamara Davis Brown
